Bios L-Tyrosine 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement and offer you a high-dose and pure source of amino acids for optimum support of cognitive function processes.

Like all proteinogenic amino acids, the aromatic amino acid L-tyrosine is involved in the formation of proteins. It is produced in the liver by hydroxylation of the amino acid L-phenylalanine and serves as a starting substance for the formation of the mood-enhancing neurotransmitters dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline. These messenger substances play a central role in controlling our emotions. An imbalance in their production or availability can affect mood and general well-being. Tyrosine is also involved in the synthesis of phenylethylamine (PEA), a stimulating neurotransmitter that is increasingly released during euphoric moments. This has vitalising and slightly stimulating properties.

These neurotransmitters are increasingly utilised under high everyday stress levels, which can lead to a shortage. This in turn could result in mood imbalances. L-tyrosine is also the starting material for the formation of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine, as well as melanin, which is responsible for the pigmentation of the skin.
