Bios L-Histidine 500 mg capsules are a food supplement containing the semi-essential amino acid L-histidine.
L-histidine is a "conditionally essential" amino acid. This means that although the body can produce small amounts of the amino acid itself, children in particular require additional intake of the amino acid with food. Adults, on the other hand, can compensate for a histidine deficiency over a period of time through their own production. The amino acid is therefore considered semi-essential. L-histidine is needed to build up the oxygen-carrying blood pigment haemoglobin. This means that the more is available, the more efficient a person is - both physically and mentally. Even if foods such as tuna, salmon, fillet meat, cheese or soya beans contain a lot of L-histidine, supplementing with L-histidine 500 mg Bios capsules can be useful in certain life situations.
