Bios Horseradish 400 mg capsules are a food supplement with horseradish extract. The root of the horseradish plant is used as a vegetable, spice or in herbal medicine.

A runny nose and watery eyes: such effects are all too familiar when rubbing horseradish (Armoracia rusticana). This is due to the mustard oil glycosides contained in horseradish, which are broken down into mustard oils when the pungent root is processed. These functional ingredients give horseradish its special reputation - so much so that it was voted "Medicinal Plant of the Year 2021". Mustard oils show good inhibitory activity against bacteria. As these are excreted from the body via the kidneys, they accumulate in the bladder mucosa and prevent Escherichia coli from attaching to the walls of the bladder.
