Bios Ginseng Capsules, 100 ST

Bios Ginseng Capsules are a food supplement containing 90 mg of ginseng root extract per capsule and rich in ginsenosides.

Ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, synonym: Korean ginseng, ‘human root’) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Araliaceae family and grows wild in the shady mountain forests of East Asia. The traditional growing regions are northern China, Manchuria, Korea and Japan. The plant consists of a perennial underground stem connected to the fleshy, carrot-shaped main root, which is approximately 15–20 cm long and about 2 cm thick. Ginseng roots are usually harvested between the 4th and 7th year after sowing.

Depending on the method of processing after harvest, a distinction is made between white and red ginseng. In the case of the latter, the freshly harvested roots are treated with steam for preservation and only then dried. Despite these differing processing methods, the roots hardly differ in terms of their constituents or effects. The main constituents of the ginseng root are ginsenosides, which belong to the saponin group. It also contains fatty acids, enzymes, amino acid-like compounds, polyacetylenes, polysaccharides, vitamins A, B1, B2 and C, a small amount of essential oil, minerals and trace elements. Korea Ginseng Bios Capsules contain 90 mg of dry extract from ginseng root (3–5:1) in a soft gelatine capsule. Description of raw material The dry extract is produced from ginseng roots of certified quality; following extraction with alcohol, it is encapsulated in soft gelatine capsules with small amounts of maltodextrin and highly dispersed silicon dioxide.

Directions for use 

• Adults and children over 12 years: 1 capsule twice daily with meals (breakfast and lunch) with plenty of water.  
• Notes: It is recommended not to take ginseng together with other stimulants, such as caffeinated drinks. Ginseng preparations should only be taken during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.

• Ingredients: Ginseng root extract (12%); excipients: maltodextrin, highly dispersed silicon dioxide; fillers: coconut fat, soya oil, yellow wax; Capsule shell: gelatine, glycerol, sorbitol solution, water; colouring in the capsule shell: caramel colour E150d. 
• Composition per daily dose (2 capsules): 180 mg ginseng root dry extract.
