Bios EPA 400 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish oil concentrate.
Omega-3 fatty acids are long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acids that are essential for human development and health. As they cannot be produced by the body, they are classified as essential nutrients that must be obtained from the diet. Omega-3 fatty acids are initially found in algae, which form the diet of fish. Sea fish such as mackerel, herring, wild salmon and tuna accumulate these energy sources through their diet. The two most important omega-3 fatty acids are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Dietary supplements containing omega-3 fatty acids help to meet the recommended intake levels. Bios EPA 400 mg capsules contain 1,000 mg of fish oil concentrate, equivalent to 400 mg of EPA and 200 mg of DHA.
