BioBran® 1000 sachets are a food supplement for the supply of arabinoxylan from rice bran.
BioBran® is produced by a unique, patented process from fermented rice bran and enzymes from shiitake (Lentinula edodes). This substance, an arabinoxylan compound from rice bran (RBAC), has been used in the USA and Japan since 1995 following intensive research. BioBran® has been available in Germany since 2002. Here in particular, but also worldwide, interesting studies continue to be carried out in renowned research institutes. The results to date of supplementing the diet with BioBran® fermented rice bran are very promising.
As a mixture of natural hemicellulose compounds, BioBran® falls into the category of dietary supplements.
What is so special about the fibre-like arabinoxylans contained in BioBran®?
Insoluble fibres are more than just fillers that stimulate digestion. BioBran® contains broken down and therefore digestible fibres from rice bran.
The ingredients
To produce BioBran®, the chemical bond between the husk and the rice grain is broken down using an enzyme from the shiitake mushroom. The resulting molecular compound, known as RBAC for short, can be absorbed by the small intestine in a very short time.

Application
Adults take the contents of one sachet dissolved in a little water as a daily supplement to their diet after a meal. Consumption can be increased to 3 x 1 sachet per day if required.
Ingredients
- Ingredients per sachet: arabinoxylan from rice bran (50%), cellulose filler, maize starch, maltodextrin, tricalcium phosphate anti-caking agent.
- 1 sachet of BioBran® 1000 (recommended intake) contains 1.0g arabinoxylan from rice bran. 3 sachets contain 3.0g arabinoxylan from rice bran.
- Average nutritional values per 100g: energy kJ/kcal 1248/298, fat 0.1 g - of which saturated fatty acids 0.0 g, carbohydrates 54.3 g - of which sugar 13.6 g, dietary fibre 32.1 g, protein 5.2 g, salt 0.1 g.
