Atrauman® ointment compresses sterile, 5 x 5 cm, 10 ST

Atrauman® are sterile, active ingredient-free ointment dressings for single use for atraumatic wound treatment. The dressings consist of a hydrophobic polyester tulle impregnated with a neutral ointment.

Atrauman is a sterile, active ingredient-free ointment dressing for single use for the treatment of superficial acute and chronic wounds of all kinds. As a non-adhesive wound contact layer, the dressing is particularly suitable for preventing the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound bed and also ensures that the wound edges and surrounding skin remain supple. The neutral properties of the active ingredient-free ointment make Atrauman particularly suitable for use in dermatology and for patients with sensitive skin and patients who are sensitive to certain drugs.

How to use

• Remove the compress with both product protection pads from the peel pack, cut the dressing to the size of the wound with sterile scissors if necessary. Remove the product protection pad on one side and place this side on the wound, then remove the remaining protective pad. To absorb wound exudate, fix a sterile, absorbent wound dressing over the Atrauman ointment dressing. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor or other healthcare professional, replace Atrauman at each dressing change. The duration of the dressing depends on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate.
• Notes: If the dressing remains on the wound during dressing changes for therapeutic reasons, the ointment may be absorbed if the dressing is left on for a longer period of time. Any adhesion that may have occurred in such cases can be loosened by applying a second, additional Atrauman ointment compress.
