Aptamil Prematil: special formula for premature babies

Premature babies have special nutritional requirements that are significantly higher than the nutritional requirements of full-term babies due to high growth rates, a lack of nutrient reserves and the immaturity of various organs. Our unique Aptamil Prematil has been specially developed to meet the increased energy and nutritional requirements of premature babies up to 1,800 g.

How to use

Dosage: The dosage is based on the doctor's recommendation and depends on the child's weight. The average amount to drink is usually 150 - 170 ml/kg body weight per day. Depending on the child's age and tolerance, the amount should be divided into 6 - 12 meals. Please only use the enclosed measuring spoon, which contains approx. 5.6 g when full.

Preparation: Follow the instructions for use exactly when preparing Aptamil® Prematil. Improper preparation and storage can lead to health problems due to the growth of unwanted germs. Prepare the food fresh before each meal and feed it immediately. Do not reuse leftover food. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).

1. Allow fresh, boiled drinking water to cool to approx. 40°C and pour 2/3 of the required amount of water into the bottle.
2. For an exact dosage of the powder, wipe off the enclosed measuring spoon with the back of a knife. Only use the measuring spoon provided. Pour the required amount of powder into the bottle. Close the bottle and shake vigorously, add the remaining amount of drinking water and shake the contents of the bottle vigorously again.
3. Open the bottle and attach the teat. Check the contents of the bottle for drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).

Important notes: Nutrition: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. Please talk to your paediatrician or clinic if you want to use Aptamil® Prematil. For use: Please only use under medical supervision. Aptamil® Prematil is suitable for the exclusive nutrition of premature babies from 1,000 g to 1,800 g. For dental health: Please ensure that your baby's first teeth are thoroughly cleaned, especially before going to bed.
