Alfaré is an extensively hydrolysed specialised food containing human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs)*, which is suitable for dietary management of cow’s milk allergy with severe gastrointestinal disturbances. Alfaré is well tolerated and easily absorbed. Alfaré can be used as the sole source of nutrition for infants from birth. For children over 1 year of age, it is suitable as a complementary food. Alfaré is classified as a food for special medical purposes (formula diet).

* The structurally identical human milk oligosaccharides (2’FL & LNnT) contained in the product are not derived from breast milk.

Alfaré® is recommended for the following conditions:
- Chronic gastrointestinal disorders, e.g. chronic diarrhoea, malabsorption syndrome, short bowel syndrome, severe malnutrition
- Severe food intolerances, e.g. cow’s milk protein allergy, secondary lactose intolerance

Directions for use
WARNING: Unboiled water, an unsterilised bottle, incorrect dilution, improper storage, preparation and feeding may lead to illness in the child.
- Wash your hands before preparation.
- Rinse the bottle, teat and ring.
- Sterilise the bottle, teat and ring for at least 5 minutes. Keep covered until use.
- Boil the water for at least 5 minutes and cool to a maximum of 37 °C
- Pour the required amount of lukewarm water into the bottle.
- Add the age-appropriate amount of powder using the measuring spoon provided .
- Shake the bottle until the powder has completely dissolved.
- Close the tin tightly after each use
