The FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors are currently the world’s smallest and^thinnest10 sensors. They can be applied easily and^painlessly8 at home. They are^waterproof11 and can be worn without any problems whilst exercising, showering or bathing.

FreeStyle Libre 3 app or reader

Always with you, wherever you go – with the FreeStyle Libre 3^app⁴, you can view your glucose levels directly on your smartphone⁴. If you use the app, you can quickly and easily share your readings with your healthcare team, as well as your family and friends.^12,13 For anyone without a compatible smartphone, there is the FreeStyle Libre 3^reader5. Both the app and the reader can be used with either sensor.

Dosage form

Use

The sensor is easily applied to the back of the upper arm using an applicator. A thin, flexible, sterile filament is inserted directly under the skin. The sensor itself is secured to the skin with an adhesive patch.
Warnings: If a ‘Signal Lost’ alert appears, check that the reader or smartphone is no more than 6 metres away from the sensor. Scan the sensor to obtain the current glucose reading. If the message ‘Replace sensor’ appears before the end of the 15-day wear period, there is a sensor fault. In this case, the sensor should be replaced. Store the Freestyle Libre 3 Plus blood glucose sensor under normal conditions in a well-ventilated place and avoid direct sunlight, moisture and corrosive environments.
