ARTHROBONUM® capsules are a dietary supplement with a unique nutrient combination of glucosamine, chondroitin, L-cysteine, L-methionine and manganese.

• Glucosamine (in sulphate form): In addition to minerals, trace elements and many amino acids, marine shellfish contain a high proportion of glucosamine-oglycans (GAGs). The central building block of GAGs is the amino acid glucosamine. Marine shellfish contain a higher proportion of glucosamine, an important part of the substances that give bones, cartilage, hair etc. their structure.
• Chondroitin (in sulphate form) has an anti-inflammatory (antiphlogistic) effect. Chondroitin binds the sulphur component, which is jointly responsible for the osmotic suction in the cartilage matrix and thus guarantees the water-binding capacity of the cartilage matrix, which leads, among other things, to the "elastic hardness" of the cartilage. The anti-inflammatory (antiphlogistic) effect has been proven several times in studies. We only use chondroitin of natural origin with 100% traceability and the world's best veterinary testing, followed by comprehensive batch testing such as elemental analyses, IR spectrum, DNA analyses and optical rotation.
• Methionine and cysteine: Methionine and cysteine are important organic "sulphur donors" and belong to the group of essential amino acids that cannot be produced by humans but must be regularly ingested with food. The sulphur-containing compounds in particular are necessary for numerous processes in every human cell and, with the exception of the sulphur-containing vitamins, can all be synthesised from methionine. In cartilage and connective tissue, the sulphur content provided by methionine and cysteine contributes to the elastic hardness of the cartilage ("water magnet principle")
• Manganese: Manganese is important for the synthesis of cartilage components and acts as an antioxidant. Manganese deficiency is often not noticed, but this alone can lead to an increase in osteoarthritis.
