- Waterproof, sterile protection: Protects the catheter insertion site or wound from external contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, blood and body fluids – In-vitro tests demonstrate that the transparent film provides protection against viruses with a diameter of 27 nm or more, provided the film dressing remains intact and shows no signs of leakage
- The breathable film allows oxygen to enter and water vapour to escape
- Adhesive-free tabs allow for precise and hassle-free application, reducing the risk of the dressing sticking to gloves or the material itself
- The transparent dressing allows for continuous visual monitoring of the catheter insertion site
- The dressing stretches with the skin, ensuring greater patient comfort
- Can be worn for up to seven days
- Radiation-transparent. Tegaderm products can be safely left on the patient’s skin during radiotherapy. The dressing, which can be used with or without the 3M™ Cavilon™ Non-Irritating Skin Barrier Film (CNSBF), does not act as a bolus material
- Can be used to maintain an optimal moist wound environment to support autolytic debridement
- Helps to prevent friction-related skin damage
